Since joining Corbis in 2013, Mauricio has been involved in some of the largest projects and has contributed to the optimization of project delivery, using all available assets to drive efficiency and gain speed, accuracy, and predictability.
As Head of Architectural Production Services, he brings together the power of BIM methodology, construction management, and his over 20 years of experience in the industry to improve every internal or external project he entertains.
Mauricio built his career combining experience in design and construction and working for the best firms in Europe to deliver challenging projects, such as the main corporate office building for the Santander Bank, a 1,116-cell penitentiary facility and a 615-bed hospital in Spain.
"I am inspired by technology and the endless possibility to keep learning. Seeking new ways to solve new challenges is at the heart of my work."
He has worked on domestic and international projects in Australia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates. An architect by trade, he has delivered projects of various sizes and complexities, from multi-site programs for brands like Target to a complex 1,250,000 square feet multifamily development in Johannesburg. With his experience, he successfully led and coordinated the delivery and documentation of two massive projects for The Irvine Company in Oakland -one around 850,000 square feet and the other around 1,650,000 square feet.
Mauricio is a curious person with a generous nature. Keeping up to date with new methodologies and technologies allows him to be always ready for new challenges. His vast experience and knowledge make him a reliable guide when it comes to complex projects.
Fun fact about him: He had planned to enroll in medical school, but He made the last-minute decision to tame his inner voice and become an architect.
