Martin brings over 25 years of experience in the AEC industry, leading the company he founded in 2002 with a clear mission: to remove obstacles and enable frictionless project delivery. Under his leadership, Corbis grew at a 50% CAGR during its first five years, delivering domestic and international projects with a global team of architects and engineers collaborating virtually across the nation.
With a background in engineering and construction, Martin identified early on the common issues, blind spots, and disconnections within the AEC industry. Through Corbis, he built a smarter and more collaborative approach, combining people, processes, and technology to solve project delivery challenges at scale. In the early 2000s, he developed one of the first remote collaboration networks, launched Corbis' proprietary project management platform in 2004, and adopted BIM for project delivery in 2005—well before it became industry standard.
Founded in California with residential, hospitality, and commercial projects, the company expanded to the UAE in 2007 and Latin America in 2009, delivering its first hospital and supporting significant team growth. International work extended to Australia, with major projects including the NAB Building in Melbourne, Midland Hospital in Perth, and the Perth Arrivals Terminal.
Over more than two decades, Martin has overseen the delivery of 4,000+ projects across multiple sectors, regions, and scales for 450 global clients, primarily architectural studios. In 2020, he launched a new business unit to serve the retail industry with high-tech project delivery processes, securing clients such as McDonald's, Uniqlo, and Starbucks. In 2023, he introduced a third business unit focused on design and construction management for developers in both California and Dubai.
Martin leads with culture, fostering an environment that promotes self-motivation, accountability, and growth. His commitment to advancing the AEC field also led him to organize a five-year series of industry panels with over 250 attendees and international speakers. He has spoken at the AIA National Convention and moderated at the 6th Annual Middle-Market Multifamily Forum (West), contributing to important industry conversations.
Beyond Corbis, Martin has broadened his business presence through investments in sports complexes across Latin America, co-founded a sustainable energy company, and collaborated with his family's general contracting firm.
When he's not pushing the industry forward, Martin finds balance through his lifelong passions. He's been sailing since the age of nine, has a deep love for board sports, and connects with his creative side through music, especially behind a drum kit.

Curious about the big ideas from #AU2025? It was an intense week. Both for the mind, with more than 1,000 speakers across dozens of sessions, and for the feet, with an average of 20,000 steps a day (definitely more than our usual office routine!). Here are my takeaways. Read more
