Our team in Chile was thrilled to visit the new site where the renowned brand will open a new restaurant. As a part of our program management collaboration, we met with local experts from Arcos Dorados, the world's biggest McDonald's franchise, who are leading this growth plan. Here’s how we started.
The well-known burger brand has around 100 locations in Chile and plans to expand its presence further in the local market. With more than 2,500 restaurants in Latin America and the Caribbean, Arcos Dorados—the largest McDonald's franchise in the world—manages this market and is responsible for the expansion and remodeling plan in 20 other countries. After our experience in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, we are working closely with the local development team to understand the specific regulations and construction processes that influence this program’s execution.
One of the first steps in this collaboration was a site visit to different McDonald's locations in this area to gain valuable insights alongside the construction and design managers and learn about their approach and unique needs. We could also share with them our experience from a successful remodeling program in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, where we provided branded architecture and interior design for seven restaurants.
Currently, we are providing branded architecture for the project of a new restaurant in Santiago de Chile. To do this, our team is working closely with the local team, ensuring they meet brand standards, considering the particularities of this market from the outset, and addressing some specific issues, such as regulatory requirements in the kitchen sector and safety factors for the customers.
Our journey with Arcos Dorados
After working with this brand in other locations, our team gained extensive experience that meant an asset for this new project. In addition, as we continuously seek process improvement and efficient solutions for our clients, we have pursued McDonald's interior design certifications by The Hamburger University, allowing us to design stores according to brand style guidelines. Geometry, Luna, A Touch of Archery, and now the Essential Ingredients décor certification have given our team clear standards for the client's layouts.
We deeply value the Arcos Dorados team's openness to new proposals and challenging spirit. Chile is leading the change in construction innovation, challenging traditional methods and materials to optimize the final product. Therefore, we are proud to be part of this expansion plan, contributing our branded architecture expertise and BIM approach to a faster process, more accurate deliverables, and greater predictability.
After remodeling seven restaurants in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, building a new store in Chile, and upcoming programs in Argentina, we believe this strong partnership with Arcos Dorados is critical to delivering exceptional solutions that meet the needs of both the brand and the local market.
